Vestaburg Defense Sparks 44–32 Win Over Montabella VESTABURG — A relentless defensive effort propelled the Vestaburg girls basketball team to a 44–32 victory over Montabella on Tuesday night, as the Wolverines controlled the game from start to finish with energy and pressure. Lily Johnston led Vestaburg with a standout all-around performance, totaling 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Her scoring and court vision helped pace the Wolverines’ offense while contributing to their defensive intensity. Jessica Stouten made a major impact on both ends of the floor, finishing with 8 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 9 steals. Stouten’s activity in the passing lanes and dominance on the boards played a key role in limiting Montabella’s scoring opportunities. Jaiden Anderson added 9 points and 5 rebounds, providing consistent scoring support. Kaydence Bills delivered another strong effort with 5 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 steals, helping Vestaburg maintain control in transition and on the glass. Rounding out the scoring, Callie Bills posted 3 points, 2 assists, and 1 steal, while Ryanna Collar contributed 1 point and 1 steal.
