Game 1: CCC 18, Vestaburg 2 CCC jumped out to a commanding lead early, scoring nine runs in the first inning alone. Once the Eagles built that advantage, they never looked back. A combination of walks, defensive lapses, and timely hitting fueled CCC’s lopsided victory. The lone bright spot for the Wolverines came in the bottom of the third inning. Emma Myers and Kelsey Cole both reached base via walks before Terian DeVerney drove in Myers with a hard-hit single. Cole later scored on a passed ball. That would be the only offense Vestaburg could generate, as the game ended after three innings due to the run rule. Game 2: CCC 19, Vestaburg 8 The second game started much stronger for the Wolverines, who stayed competitive and held a 6-4 lead through 4.5 innings. However, CCC responded with a big fifth inning, plating seven runs. Vestaburg answered with two runs of their own in the bottom half, but the Eagles stayed hot at the plate, adding eight more runs to secure a 19-8 win. Despite the loss, Vestaburg showed improved offensive rhythm and flashes of their potential. With a young roster and players stepping into unfamiliar positions due to injuries and limited depth, consistency has been a challenge. Vestaburg was led offensively by Emma Myers, Jaiden Anderson, Jersie Miller, and Ella Beres, who each recorded two hits. Miller also pitched a complete game in a gritty effort, finishing with nine strikeouts.
